Actually I had no idea that cutscene with Karlach was so uncommon lol. I had it in my first solo playthrough and I was suprised by it. For me it was Act 3 and her as a companion but sadly no more info about it, except it happened in Baldurs Gate not Wyrms Crossing... Weird

If my memories have any weight to it, some stuff for Karlach cutscene. It looks like i dont get enough Karlach reputation in my new playthroughs. And at save where it were triggered or were on a way to triggering i werent asking her about fall of some city to averno and had that blue flame spell active. I am not sure what i am doing wrong because i remember having at least one if not two + rep moments in my playthroug.(just realised i can check reputation stat in save, will try to remember it next day when i will try again) . Any pictures of code related to Karlach? Would love to see it myself. I dont have any idea how to open code myself.

Dangit, I didn't even realize they used the same intro essentially XD Thats how good they are.

This video has just convinced me even more that we need a mod that extends the level cap to around 15. Act 3 gives out so much XP but if you've been playing the game right you'll be at least level 8 when you get there, and at least level 12 by the time you're even halfway done with the content in it.

So, even if i am somehow mistaken and didnt get cutscene, is there a way i can share my save file to you guys for easier hunt for Cutscene? I were very confident to not seeing videos with Karlach 4th wall break and only getting it myself, but based on one like that i had on one video that i just checked, i might have been wrong all along.

Probably already mentioned in the other comments, but you don't need to kill Alfira to get the dragonborn. You can, instead, knock her out via Non-Lethal attacks and the d-born will appear. I found her to be more interesting than Alfira in the camp scene.

This guy makes me feel bad at the game. He's really good at abusing the AI.

I beat this game a couple times and I don't remember half of this.

Maybe you could get the cut scene by doing something similar to how speed runners do wrong warps, do some esoteric actions to corrupt game files and get the wrong cut scene. I strongly doubt anybody has done something like that, though. It could be documented if so.

I only hated "Save Vanra", because when Ethel said she already ate Vanra, I tought Vanra is gone for good and killed Ethel. How the hell I know this was a little red hood story and I could save Vanra from Ethel's belly? :))

I’m pretty sure in one of the patches, they made it so summons and class companions don’t trigger guards following because many players found it annoying… don’t know if I’m remembering right, but it sounds vaguely familiar

Nothing on Larian or anything its amazing they thought of so much of this stuff, but i always found Cerys annoying, hollow, and her appearance at last light oddly convenient. Now i know why she just suddenly manifests in act 2 (I nearly killed her when i met her the first time because her presence seemed so random and convenient)

So what I’m seeing is that Larian cut the Karlach 4th wall break but didn’t tell the voice actress. And so when it leaked she thought it was still in the game, thus she made that snide comment about “yanking” the data without “context”, not realizing the only way people saw that part of her performance was because of data mining. Great example of how miscommunication can be a headache for everybody.

I actually failed the WIS save once when trying to break free before kissing the mind flayer at the beach, Shadowheart and Astarion were in my party at the time. My main died of course and level 2 Shadowheart and Astarion bravely had to fight a now fully healed level 5 mind flayer (in balanced difficulty) before they could revive me. Somehow, they managed.

I got through Moontower by (without being seen at all, in turn based mode) disguising Gale, making him invisible, walking up to top of wardens tower behind the a scrying eye, then obvs got noticed, waited for guards to come, then stole stuff, went around the corner on the outside so no one could see me, changed back and misty stepped out of there. The guard and eye were accused of stealing and the warden and other guards all started fighting and cleared out the whole bottom floor! Happiest accident ever!

Started as an Explorer, devolved into a Save Scummer then evolved into a cheeser and well my way to being a min-maxer.

i doubt the voice actress even knew how to trigger it lol she was only there to read lines not part of game development

As a minmaxer, who plays with the restriction to not using magic items or armor and the goal to have as many sex scenes with 1 character in one run and getting the perfect ending, I like this video a lot.

Weird, when I first played just after the game launched I got to level 11 before getting to act 3 and got level 12 quite a bit before entering the city and in no way I min maxed my XP gain, in fact, I missed a lot of stuff that I only discovered later.
